Attorney Maureen A. McCready received her BA in Sociology from Hood College in Frederick, MD and her Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law of the American University in Washington, DC. In 1973, Maureen A. McCready was admitted to practice law in New York State, and has been serving the Buffalo, NY area for the last several decades. As a member of the Bar Associations of Erie County, New York State, as well as the American Bar Association. She can also practice in the US District Court for the Western District of New York, the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Before entering the private practice of law, Attorney McCready served as an Assistant Erie County Attorney assigned to the Department of Social Services. During her employment, she lobbied for funding and administered the Erie County Child Support Collection Unit where received widespread recognition for the group’s success in collecting child support.
